Bonnie loves everything big and bold — yes, in diamonds and in life. But what about you? Are you indecisive? The kind of person who changes your mind a lot? If so, this blog is for you.

Grab your morning coffee, because today we’re not only looking at engagement rings — we’re exploring full wedding sets. Think engagement rings paired with wedding bands in every shape and millimeter you can imagine.
And because I know you’ll ask — yes, we’re also diving into metal comparisons. Should you go platinum or yellow gold? Let’s find out.
Set One: The Flush-Fit French Pavé Dream
First up: a 3ct tulip French pavé cathedral ring paired with an east-west radiant cut band.

Both bands are designed to sit flush — which is a big deal. Many engagement rings sit too low, creating that awkward gap between the two rings. Some love it, some hate it. Personally? I’m all about the seamless, flush look.
Here, the wedding band comes in at about 4.5mm, the engagement band at 2.8mm — creating a bold, modern pairing. And yes, thicker bands are officially in.
Set Two: The All-Gold Glow
Next, meet the warm richness of yellow gold.

This set features a 3ct French pavé with an 18k gold wedding band, both at 2.5mm. Compared side-by-side with platinum, you’ll see how even a small millimeter difference changes the entire look.

The best part? These prongs are done in full gold. Many of my clients choose platinum prongs on a gold band for contrast — but some love the all gold everything vibe. Both are beautiful, and it really comes down to personal preference.
Set Three: Big, Bold, and Oval
Now for one of my absolute favorites. A 3ct oval center stone on a 3mm wedding band — matchy, chunky, and fabulous.

Yes, I said it before and I’ll say it again: thicker bands are in. They’re bold, modern, and they make a statement. The oval here is a 1.50 ratio, giving it that longer, elegant shape that works especially well on long fingers. It fills the space beautifully while letting the band stand out.
Set Four: Emerald Cuts + Tapered Cathedral Magic
If you love emerald cuts, this one’s for you. A petite emerald cut paired with a hidden halo solitaire and a tapered cathedral.

The cathedral detail not only looks elegant from the side but also adds support if it touches the basket.

Side-by-side, you’ll see how a 2ct compares to a 3ct on bands ranging from 2mm to 3mm. Both are flush, both are gorgeous — it’s just about how much bling you want.
Set Five: A Bold Emerald + Platinum Pairing
Last but definitely not least: a 4.22ct emerald cut with a platinum hidden halo tapered cathedral.

This design is especially striking because of the contrast — the step-cut emerald against the brilliance of round diamonds.

We’ve made this ring in countless variations: with a split shank, in yellow gold, or paired emerald-on-emerald. Whether you love the French pavé on pavé look or prefer a clean solitaire, the emerald cut gives you versatility.
