We explored multiple direction options — from emerald-on-emerald concepts to round-brilliant accents — before ultimately deciding to custom-cut four cushion side stones to complement her magnificent emerald-cut center diamond. At ten carats, proportions and faceting style are everything, and custom cutting ensured perfect harmony, balance, and brilliance across the set.
Equally important was the structural design. Larger stones require strategic engineering to sit securely and gracefully on the hand. Dina wanted a flush wedding band, and to achieve this without compromising stability, we designed a contoured band to nest seamlessly against the engagement ring. We also discussed eternity construction versus partial setting. While eternity bands are beautiful, they cannot be resized — and a timeless piece designed for decades of wear must adapt naturally to life changes. Opting for a non-eternity version ensured future comfort and longevity without sacrificing aesthetics.
From the hidden halo detail to the delicate yet strong prong structure and the precise elongated cushion shape, every element was intentional. We considered prong style, metal presence, stone placement, and the interplay between bold volume and refined elegance.
