Taylor Swift’s Antique Old Mine Cushion Cut Diamond Ring

Taylor Swift’s Antique Old Mine Cushion Cut Diamond Ring

Where are my Swifties at? If you’re as thrilled as I am about Taylor and Travis’s engagement, join me in celebrating them right here and drop a big “Congratulations!” and let’s turn this into the ultimate fairy tale love story celebration.

I mean, have you seen those photos? The vibe is literally: your English teacher just married your gym teacher. And honestly, it’s adorable. If you have a favorite Taylor lyric about love, this is your time — share it below!

But of course, you know me. We have to talk about the ring.

The Ring: A Cushion-Cut Vintage Dream

Taylor’s engagement ring is already going viral, and for good reason.

Designed by Artifacts Fine Jewelry, it’s giving all the vintage vibes. The center stone is an elongated antique cushion cut — and when I say elongated, I mean super elongated.

If you’ve followed my blog for a while, you know I’m always talking about diamond ratios. This one? It’s got to be around 1.50+ ratio, which is incredibly rare for cushion cuts. Most cushions sit around the 1.20–1.30 range. We’ve made plenty in the 1.40s, but this one? Exceptionally long and unique.

Yellow Gold + Antique Details

The entire ring is crafted in yellow gold, which is such a timeless, romantic choice. And it’s not just plain gold — it’s accented with antique-style engraving, plus a delicate gold frame outlining the diamond. That small detail completely elevates the piece, giving it that heirloom-worthy, storybook feel.

The vibe? Floral. Vintage. Classy. Honestly, it couldn’t be more “Taylor.”

Carat Size: Lucky 13 or Something Else?

At first glance, I was convinced the diamond was 13 carats — you know, Taylor’s signature number.

But after zooming in and taking a closer look, I’d estimate it’s more likely in the 7–10 carat range.

With old mine cushions, the carat weight can be tricky to judge since some are cut deeper while others are shallower. But regardless, it’s a jaw-dropping stone.

Why This Ring Feels So On-Trend

Remember earlier this year when I called elongated diamonds the shape of the year?

Well… here we are. Taylor’s ring just proves the point. The elongated cushion cut is having its moment, and I couldn’t love it more.

We’ve created plenty of old mine cushion rings this year — and each one has its own personality. Taylor’s version adds that unique vintage twist, making it both fresh and timeless.
