This 5ct Ring Was Her First Gift to Herself

I recently received a message from Samantha, and her words pierced right through my chest. I felt so much of myself in her story. Samantha is a first-generation immigrant, a successful Asian American businesswoman, a caretaker, and a fighter. Designing a Ring Worthy of Her Journey

When Samantha came to me, she told me she loved the Tulip design with French pavé. It’s elegant, feminine, and timeless. At first, she was thinking about a smaller size—maybe two or three carats. But as we worked together, I inspired her to go larger, because her story deserved a centerpiece as bold as her journey.

We landed on a five-carat center stone—and to make it uniquely hers, I designed it with a reverse taper French pavé band. The band is thicker on top and tapers slimmer on the sides, creating balance and elegance while drawing the eye right to that gorgeous center diamond.

For her wedding band, we designed a double gallery pavé band—substantial, detailed, and deeply meaningful.

So, I handcrafted a pair of studs designed to sit lower and hug her ear beautifully. The difference was phenomenal. Even her husband was stunned when he saw the transformation—it was such a proud moment for both of them.
