My Pink Sapphire Bands that Went Viral... Now in a Mini version?!
Share
I finally finished the little sister version of my beloved pink sapphire set—and she’s just as fabulous in her own way. In today’s blog, I’m walking you through all the sparkling details, plus showing you how to pair this new design with some of my favorite bands. Oh—and stick around till the end for a sweet little surprise: the reveal of my blue sapphire Mother's Day band! Welcome to another By Bonnie blog, where we talk about all things diamonds - and pink diamonds as well!
The Story Behind the Set
If you’ve been following along, you might recognize the original version of this ring from my personal collection. It’s big, it’s bold, and it became a bit of a signature. I’m all about that “Bonnie no knuckle” life—chunky rings, vibrant color, and pieces that make a statement.
But as much as I love my big pieces, a lot of you messaged me saying:
“Bonnie, I’m obsessed—but can you make a smaller version?”
Well... drumroll, please… Here she is!
Meet the Mini Versions
I created three styles:
-
Halfway band
-
3/4 way band
-
Full eternity band
All three feature gorgeous emerald-cut pink sapphires, but with totally different profiles and settings. The original version has Asher cut diamonds and a taller double gallery setting. The new mini version is lower profile, more wearable for everyday, and uses round diamonds for a softer, more delicate feel.
Let’s Talk Stackability (Yes, It’s a Word)
The mini pink sapphire bands are incredibly versatile. You can:
- Stack them with your engagement ring
- Wear them on a different finger
- Pair them with other diamond bands (I show you how below!)
- Or let them shine solo
One of my clients paired her eternity version with her east-west emerald cut eternity band from our Chloe Collection. Together, they look chef’s kiss!
If you're someone who loves options, this is the ultimate stackable situation.
Eternity vs. Halfway vs. 3/4—What’s the Difference?
Here’s a quick guide:
- Eternity bands are stunning and seamless—but harder to resize.
- 3/4 bands give you that full-diamond look on top but offer more flexibility.
- Halfway bands are great for comfort and easy resizing.
So if you’re done having babies or settled into your size, go full eternity. If you’re still in transition, 3/4 or halfway might be your best friend.
Mixing Metals? Rose Gold, Anyone?
Oh yes, I’ve done this set in rose gold too—and I’m loving the contrast between the blushy tone and the bright sapphires.
If you’re a rose gold lover, drop a “I love rose gold!” in my Insta comments. If enough of you ask, I’ll definitely make more!
BONUS: The Blue Sapphire Band Reveal
And now for the surprise I promised…
Look at this dreamy blue sapphire band! My first one, and I’m in love. I actually discovered it while sourcing green emeralds for another project—totally unplanned, but meant to be.
I love stacking it with my east-west oval band, and even with my larger statement rings.
The color just pops. And yes—you know me—I’ll definitely be layering this baby every chance I get.
Final Thoughts
So… what do you think of the new mini pink sapphire bands?
Do you love them? Do you want one in rose gold? Want to see other colors next? Thank you for being here and loving jewelry as much as I do. I can’t wait to show you what’s coming next.
