Creating A Super Low Profile Setting

Remember how we went viral when we replicated Hailey Bieber's gorgeous engagement ring?

It's time to discuss how this tendency has developed into what we like to refer to as the "Hailey setting."

The actual high point? That extra-low profile is crucial. Mrs. Bieber looked amazing, and we're giving our clients access to the same chic look. A low-profile ring can be appreciated by anybody who loves large stones, not just nurses!

I'm revealing everything in this blog. I'll give you the lowdown on ratios and everything in between, from millimeters to prongs. Thus, store this movie for later, bookmark it, or forward it to a special someone. Let's dive right in!

Elongated Cushion Cut Diamond Ring

Prepare yourself for the first ring—I promise it's a true jewel! We are discussing this ring's cushion cut variation. If you're unfamiliar with cushion cut diamonds, picture them as the ideal fusion of a square and a round diamond. They appear to have had a kid, and presto—cushion cut! These lovely things have the most wonderful, pillowy shape.

Nowadays, cushion cuts come in a variety of forms, ranging from the Old Mine Cut to the cushion brilliant and customized variations. It all comes down to personal preference. But let's go back to this ring. It has an extended design and a captivating sparkle and fire combination.

We chose a 2mm band with two tones—that's right, two rolls of concealed halo—for this particular ring! What is the difference between one and two rolls, you ask? I have a thing for the simplicity of one roll, like the one on this larger oval ring, but two rolls quadruple the glitter from the side. It allows you greater freedom in terms of matching it to various wedding rings.

Elongated Emerald Cut Diamond Ring

We're diving into the second shape, and let me tell you, it's a real dazzler! Picture this: a 2-carat Emerald Diamond with a 1.42 ratio.

Now, what's this ratio business all about? Well, it's simple math, really. It's the length divided by the width. And let me tell you, it's a game-changer when it comes to picking the perfect diamond.

Now, I've made a whole blog about why ratio matters. But here's the gist: a 2-carat diamond with a 1.35 ratio could look 15% larger than one with a 1.45 ratio, even though they're the same carat weight. Crazy, right? So when it comes to choosing that elongated shape, don't forget to consider the ratio.

And hey, remember, it's not one size fits all. It all depends on your hand shape and finger width. So take your time, do your research, and find the perfect fit for you. Trust me, it's worth it!

Elongated Pear Cut Diamond Ring

Alrighty, folks, let's talk about style number three, and trust me, it's a real game-changer! We're diving into the world of Pear Shapes, and let me tell you, it's a debut worth celebrating. Now, we've dabbled in all sorts of diamond shapes before—double halos, split shanks, triple pave—you name it, we've done it! But the real star of the show? You guessed it, that extra-low profile!

Now, what does it mean to have an extra-low profile, you ask? Well, buckle up, because it's about to change the game. Picture this: you've got your stunning engagement ring, and now it's time to find the perfect wedding band. But uh-oh, here comes the challenge. With that extra-low profile, your options might be a tad limited when it comes to finding the perfect match. But fear not, my friends, because I've got a solution up my sleeve!

So, if you're in the market for an elongated shape and you're debating between a pear and an oval, stop worrying because I've got all the juicy details coming your way.

Elongated Pear Diamond vs Elongated Oval Diamond

Yes, the age-old query: oval or pear-shaped? Let me tell you something, my dear friends: it really comes down to personal preference!

Here's the rundown: oval forms are more rounded all around, while pear shapes have that adorable tiny sharp tip at the top. But hey, —there's no right or wrong response here! All you have to do is put them on, feel how they fit, and ask yourself, "Can I rock this sparkler for the long haul?" Since this is a ring that you will have for a significant amount of time, you should make sure it is a match made in diamond heaven, am I right?

Bow Tie Effect On Diamond Rings

Now let's discuss the notorious bow tie effect! The truth is, as I've discussed numerous times, if you're asking, "Bonnie, can I get an oval or pear shape without that pesky bow tie?" I have to be honest with you—you can't do it! Yes, I promise not to sugarcoat anything; my buddies and I are here to tell it like it is.

Being truthful is crucial while selecting your ring! We want to locate the best-cut diamonds with the least amount of bow tie, but in the end, if you're determined not to wear a bow tie at all, then I have to suggest, you might want to go with a round diamond, buddy. Yep, it's a bit of tough love, but hey, you gotta know the score when it comes to picking out your perfect sparkler, right?

First up, we have this incredible nearly 6-carat gem—yep, six carats of unadulterated glitter! "Whoa, Bonnie, who's rocking that rock?" is probably what you're thinking right now. It's for one of my amazing clients, who is all about that big, bold, bling life, let me tell you! Yes, she replied, "Bonnie, I'm done waiting, I want the biggest, baddest lab diamond you've got!" You are aware of my nature; I said, "Consider it done!"

White Prongs vs Yellow Prongs Elongated Oval Cut

Have you ever wondered why the prongs on certain rings are yellow and on others are white? I receive this question a lot, so let's work together to solve the puzzle!

Well, when those prongs are yellow, it gives the ring's entire appearance a slight hint of warmth. However, when they're white, they almost seem to fade into the background, directing all attention to that brilliant diamond!

For me, the white prongs are everything—I feel that they really give that stone a wonderful, chilly look. Well, to each their own, I suppose. Some people would rather have everything in one tone, with no need for mixing or matching. It all depends on what you're interested in, my pals who adore diamonds!

Ah, let's talk bandwidth for a moment, shall we? Now, you may have noticed that most of the rings I showcased in this video boast a 2mm bandwidth. And why, you might ask? Well, because I firmly believe that a thicker bandwidth adds some serious durability to your ring.

Plus, it helps minimize any pesky spinning—ain't nobody got time for that! Especially when you're flaunting a big, beautiful diamond on top, am I right? And with a low-profile ring, you can kiss that spinning goodbye! So, let's hear it—what are your thoughts on all these stunning elongated shapes we've explored today? Got questions?
