Hello, everyone! Welcome back to our By Bonnie blog, your go-to destination for all things diamonds! Today, I want to celebrate and empower all the amazing mothers out there in this beautiful world, regardless of whether you're a stay-at-home mom or a working mom, you're incredible! It's not easy to juggle all the roles society expects us to play. But here's the living proof that you don't need someone else to reward you with what you desire.
Let me share the inspiring story of one of my clients, a phenomenal working mother who's also a successful businesswoman. She knew exactly what she wanted – a five-carat diamond ring. Initially, she considered a four-carat ring, but I encouraged her to go for the full five carats. She wanted bling that would light up her entire hand, so we decided on an eternity band.
This story is a testament to the fact that you don't need anyone else to make your dreams come true. You can go after what you desire and own it with confidence!
Of course, what's a classic By Bonnie Diamond blog without showing you some stunning wedding band pairings? Or in this case, it will be all about band pairings.
Number one is the exact set, featuring French Pavé on French Pavé. What's fantastic about this pairing is the comfort it provides. Each band measures 3.2 millimeters, giving it a substantial look.
Both are five carats, so adding the diamonds on the band really gives you that extra bling. It all depends on the look you're going for. I absolutely love this, and it's super classic.
The second band I want to show you is actually my favorite – the classic Emerald cut Eternity band. This one boasts ten carats of elegance, and when I pair it with this 3.2 millimeter French Pavé band, I feel like they're a match made in heaven.
This isn't something someone got for you as a wedding ring; it's something you want to wear to show off your hard work and success. You don't need permission for that! This is probably one of my favorites because I love the contrast between the round diamonds and the emerald-cut ones and of course that they are going to sit flush thanks to Bonnie's brilliant design skills. I adore the six-prong setting, and it's an eternity of diamonds everywhere you look. Nothing beats this combo. You could also pair it with something thinner, which brings me to my next band pairing.
Next up is the East-West band, another one of my recent creations that I absolutely adore. It's a bit slimmer compared to the 10-carat emerald band, which is set in a north-south orientation.
This one, however, is set east-west, so it's not as wide but still gives you that chunky, substantial look. You don't want to go from a chunky ring to one that's too skinny. I love that it's low-profile, and when you stack them, they sit flush next to each other – seamless and worry-free.
One of my last favorites, this is actually a 7 carat cushion-cut band, set in my brand new super low-profile setting – it's amazing and it's also an eternity band.
I just thought that, again, the contrast of the cut between round and cushion really brings it home for me. It's like bling, but then you can see the contrast, yet it's still really chunky, and you get that satisfaction of it being substantial.
And here's a little bonus one for you – the round on round pairing, with a thicker band here.
I don't even know how chunky this thing is, it's around five millimeters. This is the incredible bonus look that I have for you guys right here!
One thing I want to touch on, and I always mention is my curation process. Initially, when my client reached out to me, she said she wanted the ultimate ring. Like everyone, we started looking online and considering colorless diamonds. However, when we discussed the budget, we realized that for the price of a four-carat D,E,F colorless natural diamond, she could get a five-carat near-colorless one. This is where my curation process comes into play.
Many of you, when diamond shopping, insist on specific criteria like triple X, non-florescence, and no fluorescence. But I want to tell you that when you limit your parameters to such a degree, you miss out on the opportunity to find a beautiful diamond. This particular diamond I recommended to her had medium blue fluorescence and was H color. Surprisingly, the fluorescence helped offset the warmth in the stone, and it didn't make it cloudy or milky. Only a very small percentage of diamonds with fluorescence exhibit these issues.
So, when you're considering a significant purchase like this, I don't recommend relying solely on online videos. It's essential to trust the expertise of a jeweler who can guide you to the best options.
I've also shared another blog and video where another client purchased a five-and-a-half-carat diamond from a well-known online retailer. Unfortunately, the stone had undisclosed issues like a brown tint, and it was sold to her as a regular, perfect color diamond. Be sure to watch that video to see how I helped her avoid a $100,000+ mistake. I'm so grateful she reached out to me, and we caught it within the ten-day return window.
I hope you enjoy this incredible ring and blog. Once again, I want to express my gratitude to my viewers and clients for trusting me to create something special like this. Always remember the importance of craftsmanship! Don't forget that, and I'll see you in my next blog.
